Internal Revenue Service: Search for Charities
A searchable database that can be used to determine whether an organization
is a private foundation or a public charity. An electronic version of the Cumulative List of Organizations (Publication
78), the database provides an organization's name, city of location, and tax-exempt status.
Joseph and Matthew Payton Philanthropic Studies Library
The Web site of the library that serves the Indiana University Center

This is a nonprofit database

Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI)
This institute awards two
categories of grants--to individuals and to research organizations supporting science education. Grants are competitive and
must fit specific criteria from HHMI. Do check out the Awards Database to see what categories of grants have been awarded
and the monies to support that grant.
This is a research and development
